The throat chakra is directly related to our ability to communicate. When words express mental and emotional confusion, the throat chakra is congested with unmanageable tensions. Our attempts at communication are like static on a radio. We hear a small percentage of what is being said to us and little or nothing of what we say is understood by other people. As the chakra system develops and the throat gets less congested, our ability to communicate increases. We no longer speak just from mind and emotion, but from a state of surrender, a state of internal silence, and we offer other people unconditional love, compassion, forgiveness, and the sacred sound of OM with each word.

As the chakra system develops and the throat gets less congested, our ability to communicate increases.

In the bible it says, “In the beginning was the Word…”, that word which one speaks to other people, that word which emanates from an open heart, a quiet mind, and a lack of internal chaos, that reveals how deeply connected the speaker is to a higher force in the universe. That word has nothing to do with religion, with dogma, and with one’s unique spiritual life. It’s an improvisatory word spoken from a place of love and clearly connected to one’s life in the moment; it’s the OM sound that emanates from a deep sense of internal peace: one’s ability to interact with the moment and master emotional, mental and sexual chaos. It gives us enough internal clarity to communicate with love, compassion and empathy for the human condition without judging or voicing negative opinions about unconscious people. We allow life to be God’s creation, not some false image in our minds of how we think the world should be. The sound of OM transforms itself into words we communicate to others. Those words reveal how peaceful or chaotic we are inside ourselves…
